Why there are no photos up front

You don't pick a friend out of a lineup. Until you're in a group together, everyone on Sidequesters is a name, a neighborhood, and a coloured shape — nothing to swipe past, nothing to be judged on. Judging a face isn't how you make a friend.

Profile photos are optional. They stay hidden until you're accepted into a group together, and only after a real meetup — confirmed by a GPS check-in — can two people choose to connect and message.

    Small groups — a host plus up to four others. The host picks who's in. No matching.

    Only after a real meetup can two people connect and message. Photos stay hidden until you're in a group together.
